Holiday of disappointments
What sounded like a Shahed drone slammed into a residential building in Kyiv’s Svyatoshinsky district this morning. That’s just up the road from where I live. Floors four to eight in one section of the building were damaged.
JD had to break a tie vote in the US Senate to confirm Pete as Defense Department Secretary. My advice to service members: get out while you can. Pete’s confirmation was a litmus test for Donald’s other controversial nominees, including Kash and Tulsi.

Z tells us Vova is attempting to “manipulate the desire” of Donald to end Russia’s invasion. He didn’t say anything about the witch hunt he launched against Ukrainian military generals or talk about fall-back fortifications and plans to recruit and motivate new soldiers. The last thing anyone wants is civilians meddling in military affairs to score political points.
In other Ukraine news, Defense Minster Rustem Umerov sacked one of his deputies and the head of the ministry’s arms procurement agency. Umerov is widely regarded as a hack, one of the least competent member’s of Z’s potent team of managers. No one likes him.
