The brain-dead trust that is daddy Donald’s administration continues to be entertaining. But this week I’ve been much more interested in the run-up reels to the Western States 100 endurance run. Coordinating molecular adaptations across multiple tissues over time, years, is a hot topic around the event, along with evidence-based heat training and microbiomes.
Running 100 miles in around 14 hours is challenging. That’s an average of seven minutes per mile.

On the Ukraine jacket, I did more homework on Nicholas Kass, the Ukraine sceptic and retired deep state veteran Tulsi picked to head the US National Intelligence Council.
I listened to this hour-long chat from 2023 and was, er, apalled. When Donald fires Tulsi, will Nicholas resign and move back to Bucharest? Dunno.

Team USA’s relationship with Team Romania might get even weirder. Hormonal yoga minus the stretching.
Looking on the bright side, one more prisoner release.

The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War said yesterday the exchange took place in accordance with the Istanbul Agreements. A group of defenders under the age of 25, as well as those who were wounded and have health problems, returned to home. The vast majority of those released had been held in captivity for more than three years. Most were captured during the defense of Mariupol in 2022.
