Day 1353

Collapsing pockets

Nov 07, 2025
∙ Paid
Somewhere near Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region

Yesterday I intended to write about blasé assumptions circulated by western experts and military noobs, but fullscreen css rendering tweaks distracted me. A handful of ludicrously generous ais are working out the remaining bugs in recent builds as Tumblr engineers run around with pliers and a roll of gaffer tape. Okay, it’s close. Everything works, it seems to make sense. Everything you’d want to see is at most a couple clicks away. The final thing I wanted to have ready before release – which should be desirable to anyone who’s ever looked at their site and wanted to quickly tweak just that bit there without fighting through a spray of markup to get to it – is in place and seems to work. Close. Close.

The 1.0 gamma public version is here. The pics are old.

In addition, a small squad of milibloggers are tailing me around, ready to open fire if I’m seen even thinking of ‘adding features.’
