Battle for Kyiv
It’s about 4:00 a.m. in Kyiv. The latest news is fighting in and around Vasylkiv Airbase, about 40 kilometers southeast of capital. Ukraine’s military says it has shot down a Russian Il-76 military transport plane with paratroopers on board attempting to land there. Fighting for control of the airport is heavy.
