Thousands of people ran around Trukhaniv Island yesterday in a variety of races during Kyiv City Marathon “Unbroken” weekend. I was there for the 10K race, which was very entertaining. There were lots of volunteers and Carlsberg gave out free cans of beer at the finish line.
The winning time was 30 minutes something, just three minutes off the world’s record, and today — for the 42K — 2 hours thirty minutes something. Great fun and exhaustion was had by all.
