Mike has faith in a supernatural dictator who answers his prayers.
He and his wife Kelly say god has given them a platform and that they are “blessed.”
Looking on the bright side, Kelly mentions “the escalating war in Ukraine” in their inaugural podcast. Episode 6 is titled, “The Truth about January 6 that You've Never Been Told.”
Mike is a member of the Republican Party represented Louisiana's 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives who thinks a lot about sex.
“Experts project that homosexual marriage is the dark harbinger of chaos and sexual anarchy that could doom even the strongest republic,” Mike wrote in another op-ed.
The Guardian writes about Mike’s recent “work” in Congress.
Rick doesn’t think much of Mike.
Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 97:10
We in the West may not be that good although I would argue that our greatest sin is being self parasistic. Personally, not a Bible thumper but as long as they are in the game to fight evil like Russia and Muslim terrorism--all in with them.
dunno. he is a faintly annoying man, short, fiftyish, his spectacles parked in the middle of his forehead, reminds me of they guy ordering one of everything at the butcher. mike is anti-abortion, anti-gay, doesn't belive in climate change and a trump bootlicker. he represents a district where 18% of the population lives below the poverty line, in one of the poorest states of america https://datausa.io/profile/geo/congressional-district-4-la looking on the positive side, he is glib, which i guess he has to be because what he thinks is completely out of sync with what most americans think (re abortion, lgbt rights, trump, etc). on the religion side, we do now feel a need to say something, to pile on. because the pile on doesn’t seem quite deep enough. the first thing mike did after being elected as republican designate for house speaker was to ask the caucus to pray with him. later he framed his leadership goals by citing romans 5:3-4. “i was reminded of the scripture that says suffering produces perseverance, perseverance produces character, and character produces hope,” he said, adding: “what we need in this country is more hope.” i would argue we need less policymakers like mike in leadership positions
