According to The Lime, Sean Penn called President Volodymyr Zelensky "the guardian angel of all democratic dreamers“ in his latest Instagram post.

Andriy Yermak, head of the President’s Office, said in an April Fools Day interview with The New Yorker, Bild and Le Monde that Zelensky has become “the leader of the free world.”

Last week, he called him the “undisputed leader” of the “new world order” in The Washington Post.

It’s been unpleasant enough bumping into Ukraine-related PR crusades, but Billionaire Magazine’s TikTok page and The Guardian make it worse.

That’s why I probably misinterpret Sean’s shrill scream for attention amid all this death and sadness, for some billionaire to cough up $300 million for “12 aircraft with better tech than Russian MiGs or SU’s.”

Ukraine, land of democratic dreamers and magical thinking. And Masochism.
