With all due respect, his 45-minute performance in parliament yesterday was over the top.
The president said that Ukraine has changed the world, returned to it true values, has become one of the strongest and most free countries in the world. And that we are on the path to victory, thanks to our soldiers, our partners who give weapons, our people who pay taxes and thanks to our internal unity, which should change the traditions of Ukraine’s history of mistakes.
Invited by leaders of the United States and Europe to contribute something, anything, to Ukraine’s military defense, Z proclaimed: “Today NATO standards are being determined in Ukraine.” In anyone else this would be a solipsism, rather than one more delusion commingled with truth.
