A scant three days remain before the planned insurrection in Kyiv announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday. As of this writing, Ukraine’s law-enforcement agencies aren’t providing any details.
Journalists at Buzzfeed and Politico have learned about the plot, which U.S. President Joe Biden says he is also aware of.
Lily Hyde and Paul McLeary at Politico write:
I’ve made a bunch of calls, exchanged encrypted messages and PHP keys with my sources and have been told to wait.
I attempted to get progress reports in the interim and was given very clearly scripted answers. No one who answers the phone at the President’s Office was willing to connect me to One person, which I find deeply disturbing.
But about 15 minutes ago, a pair of sweet old ladies came into the room, sat down on the other side of the table and handed me two type-written sheets of intelligence.
