The Big Three
Mario, Emmanuel and Olaf have scheduled a beano with Z this week. It’s the first time they will visit Ukraine since fascist Russia launched its genocidal war against Ukraine and tried to decapitate Kyiv.
Bild, which announced the trip over the weekend, said Draghi, Macron and Scholz “want to demonstrate European unity on their trip.”
Unity with Russia?
Leaders of Europe’s three richest countries have for the last two decades coddled the meglomaniac from Moscow. The current ones have been looking for an off-ramp for Putin for the last several months, without success.
Their visit comes as Ukraine is in danger of losing control of more areas in eastern Ukraine. Russia’s army is advancing slowly and Ukrainian soldiers are running out of ammunition.
Italy and Germany lost WWII. France surrendered in 1940 to the Nazis and collaborated with Hitler. Today the governments of the three countries are stacked with bureaucrats on the Kremlin’s payroll, including top ranking military officers.
It is unclear whether Germany, France and Italy will help Ukraine out with weapons or ammunition. They haven’t so far, much.
