ukraine baffled by bullshit from the nyt

western journalists who write about ukraine for english-language legacy media have for years been the butt of jokes in kyiv. two recent so-called investigations by written by four pulizer-prize journalists from the new york times is the reason why.

pulitzer-prize winning nyt journalists david sanger and william broad

pulitzer-prize winning nyt journalists david sanger and william broad are the authors of the first 2,000-word artcle, titled “north korea’s missile success is linked to ukrainian plant, investigators say.” the article, which appeared on august 14, quotes michael elleman, a missile expert at the international institute for strategic studies, who has close ties with russia.

the article is debunked here.

pulitzer-prize winning nyt journalists andrew kramer and andrew higgins

pulitzer-prise nyt journalists andrew kramer and andrew higgins are the authors of the second investigation, titled “in ukraine, a malware expert who could blow the whistle on russian hacking,” appearing two days later. the 2,400-word article is about a malware specialist in kyiv involved in russia’s attempt to hack the 2016 u.s. presidential election.

the article is debunked here and here.

four pulitzer-prize nyt times journalists this week wrote two articles about ukraine. both got the story wrong. wtf?
