Upon recovery from a bit of cred squidginess following the gusha day before yesterday about fascist Russia’s genocidal campaign in Ukraine, it occurs to me that, somewhere in the gaping void that is the revenue model for news content about head-turning acts of invasive barbarity, there lie previously ignored possibilities.
It is at best fiscally irresponsible – at worst it is thinking inside the box – to let such opportunities go untapped, for art’s sake, at least.
Given the ease with which in-depth exclusives are uploaded to websites by award-winning publications, why would it not follow that Ukraine’s public diplomacy could be conducted on these pages, to which millions of people click every single day?
