I have more to say about contemporary ethnonationalism, but it’s probably better if I whisper it to myself in Gaeilge.

The New York Times and The Washington Post run front page stories about cross-border raids in Belgorod oblast

. The latter investigates whether weapons gifted to Ukraine were used. (Of course they were). Val and Anatoly for the NYT rely on three stringers for an account of fighting there. I stopped reading after the sentence starting, “It was a sign of spontaneous social organization….”
