We are smack dab in the middle of a catastrophe of such magnitude that there is no long-term development scenario. Not one. Anyone who thinks there is plenty of time to think the mess through should have their head examined. We are at stage five of a four-stage disaster management response.
That was Day 30, so why desperateness now, after more than a year of all-out war? The summer of 1942 comes to mind.
In an ideal world, Ukraine would not need anything now. But we don’t live in an ideal world. We live in the catastrophe part of Phase 3.
In other news, the cloud of anticipation hanging over Kyiv has become so thick that it’s become increasingly difficult for Falun Gong disciples to perform their Cultivation of Virtue dance on the banks of the mighty Dnipro with the same reckless abandon as they did before.
Now they stare straight ahead, motionless, due northeast, not even turning around to pose or stick their tongues out.
