The numbers add up: 365 + 365 = 730 + 2,920 = ten years since the start of the war (February 20, 2014), and the second anniversary of the start of The Great War on February 23/24, 20221. That’s a total of 3,650 days of war.
This remains a essentially a civil war, in the broadest sense of the term, the next phase in the continuing collapse of the Soviet Empire. The fact that the Ukrainian front has emerged so prominently is partly accidental. The Causal Model tells us that if the popular uprising in Minsk against Moscow had succeeded during the fall of 1996, fascistic Russia’s genocidal campaign could have just as easily started there.
Happy Unity Day!
The Great War refers to Russia’s all-out attempt to subjugate Ukraine militarily (full-scale invasion) that began on February 24, 2022. Russian soldiers have committed hundreds, maybe thousands, of genocidal acts during their gruesome campaign that shows no sign of ending this year.
