Not a good look these days for US Speaker Mike, who speed-walks in the capitol faking smartphone calls in order to avoid questions. The entire MAGA-moron wing of the GOP is in big, big trouble. These lawmakers can no longer claim to support Ukraine and Trump: it’s an either or proposition.
On the Ukraine jacket, unfortunately, the situation remains dicey, thanks to our unpredictable leader, who continues mumbling about paradigm shifts, hopefully, starting with the Office of the President.
Asked over the weekend during an interview with Italy’s Rai TV about plans to sack Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, Z responded:
Zaluzhny? This is a question about the people who should lead Ukraine. Surely a reset, a new beginning is necessary. I have in mind something serious, which is not about a single person but about the direction of the country's leadership. When we talk about this, I mean a turnover of a number of state leaders, not just in a single sector like the military.
Whatever. Z’s biggest accomplishment was two years ago when Russia tried to decapitate the capital. He stayed put, instead of running away. But today the president refuses to acknowledge the simple fact that that his own political career is over. That’s because he and his team failed to prepare the country for the invasion in the first place, despite repeated warnings.
The weather has been weird. I thought yesterday that winter is over, but I just looked out the window and now I’m not sure.
