Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will visit Donald Trump next week, and described a possible comeback by the disgraced former president as “the only serious chance" for an end to the war in Ukraine.
The more these two fucktards talk publicly about fascistic Russia’s genocidal campaign the better. We hope their beano at Mar-a-Lago tops the news, which has been bad lately and coming from everywhere: from Donbas, France, from the President’s Office, Berlin, from Alabama, Kaunus, Belgrade and Warsaw.
Mykhailo adds:
Ukrainians did not and do not expect anything good from China, Iran or North Korea. But from the United States we expected stable support - not shameless haggling in Congress. From Western Europe we expected military and political consolidation - not impotent speeches in Munich. From neighboring Poland, we expected solidarity with Ukraine - not rampaging farmers on the border1.
Own goals this winter also abound. Z’s inferiority complex hit Ukraine harder than enemy missiles and kamikaze drones, and the blows delivered by a brainwashed enemy were not as painful as decisions made by doucherockets managing communication. Patriotic production companies have demonstrated that a lack of critical thinking is much worse than a shortage of electricity. They short-circuited.
The current situation reminds me of a family struggling to grapple with the realities and consequences of each member's failings. Parents and progeny blame and resent each other for various reasons, and bitterness and jealousy serve as proxies for so-far failed attempts to stop blood-letting. Ukraine’s enduring emotional and psychological stress is fueled by endless self-analysis, combined with articulate honesty, producing horror story after horror story.
Last but not least, we have the 46-year comedian who in 2015 invented a TV soap opera, Servant of the People, and established his reputation based on one role which he played for years. That "vehicle” served him well financially and politically until total war drove it into a ditch.
The New York Times writes about Z’s broken promises and weak defenses2.
Ann at The Atlantic explains, kind of, why Trump hates Ukraine3.
And, finally, Uncle Joe, in a fit of dementia, promises to air drop food and supplies to Ukraine, er, Gaza.
Whatever. You can’t make this shit up.
