Okay, I’ve had two dozen people point me to this article at The Wall Street Journal, each one claiming disbelief that such a gathering of words could come into existence. We do now feel a need to say something. We feel a need to pile on. Because, for the first time in recent memory, the pile on bullshit reporting suddenly doesn’t feel deep enough.
The exclusive appearing on August 15 is very annoying, because extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and the author of the article, Bojan, provides none, zero, zilch1. Of course, neither did flaks at The Washington Post when Isabelle and David ran their exclusive about same last November2.
At the time, Roman Chervinsky, in prison on trumped up charges, said this through his lawyer:
Дивно, на які саме джерела посилаються The Washington Post і Der Spiegel, коли кажуть, що якісь джерела, якісь чиновники повідомили їм цю інформацію. Тому що якби таку операція справді було проведено, то [доступ] до цієї інформації був би дуже обмежений. Дуже обмежена кількість посадовців могла б про це знати.
That translates to:
It is strange what sources The Washington Post and Der Spiegel refer to when they say that some sources, some officials told them this information. Because if such an operation really was carried out, then [access] to this information would be very limited. A very limited number of officials would have known about it.
That Bojan mentions intelligence briefs circulated between the MIVD, CIA, Poles and Germans is unhelpful. Foreign intelligence agents in Kyiv are not highly regarded — indeed, they are derided and highly disregarded — for many reasons. Many are Tootsie Club regulars, out of shape, mentally, physically and spiritually. They hang around with people like Rudy Guliani and are very slow runners.
The question we want answered is this:
Why did a handful of senior editors at The Washington Post, Der Spiegel and The Wall Street Journal decide to publish the exact same bullshit story about the destruction of twin natural-gas pipelines carrying billions of dollars worth of Russian gas to Europe?
Work along our running route is nearing completion, thanks to the Kyiv State Administation’s land beautification office, which planted a zillion trees, dug up tonnes of weeds, installed gigantic wooden benches and seeded the kilometers-long strip along the right bank of the Dnipro with Kentucky Bluegrass.
On the war jacket, Pekhno has all the gory details and lots of maps.
A Drunken Evening, a Rented Yacht: The Real Story of the Nord Stream Pipeline Sabotage. Private businessmen funded the shoestring operation, which was overseen by a top general; President Zelensky approved the plan, then tried unsuccessfully to call it off (The Wall Street Journal, August 15, 2024)
Ukrainian military officer coordinated Nord Stream pipeline attack. Roman Chervinsky, a colonel in Ukraine’s special operations forces, was integral to the brazen sabotage operation, say people familiar with planning (The Washington Post, November 11, 2023)
The WaPo and Wall St Journal are full of shit, all Americans know this. Don't believe any of the crap they publish. Way more likely Russia blew up the pipeline hoping to turn Germany against Ukraine. If Ukraine wanted to stop gas flows to Europe all they need to do is turn the pipelines off THAT RUN THRU Ukraine! Doh!
