Unfortunately, today one universe is fundamentally isolated from the one we are living in, because of the decisions policymakers in the West have decided not make. Their decoherence explains why Uncle Joe is in Berlin1.
In a different world, the European Quad is meeting in Kyiv to discuss steps to dismantle the Russian empire.
America’s lame duck is scheduled to fly home before dinner today, spending less than 24 hours on what we used to call “the island of freedom in an ocean of totalitarianism2.” The unannounced appearance of Z at the bye bye beano might be considered random and collapse our anti-tyranny party.
Z and his potent managers have been struggling mightly, incoherently and without much success, to unify Ukraine, motivate and train sufficient numbers of recruits, build defensive fall-back positions and procure sufficient amounts of lethal weapons. The country’s billion-dollar nationwide vertically integrated draft-dodging system is just one example of unsolved problems they face.
I liked Hennady’s (c) Victory Plan :
Inclusiveness. Those who are not against us are for us and with us. All those who have linked their fate with Ukraine are Ukrainians. Everything that divides us works for the enemy.
People are more important than territories. This imperative should determine the goals and strategy of the war.
Solidarity. Statehood is a tango for two. Citizens protect and finance the state, the state protects and cares for citizens.
Ukrainian dream. We must understand not only who we are fighting against, but also what we are fighting for. Independence is just a chance. To kill and die for it, we must know how to turn this chance into a success story.
Warning. The more we become essentially similar to the Russians, the lower our chances of survival. The future will be determined not by the language, faith, and number of Stepan Bandera streets in Ukrainian settlements, but by a new social contract between the government and society and the efficiency of the functioning of the state of Ukraine.
Looking on the bright side, ex-Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny.
