hi, vaughan! indeed. i prob wud have let elon's nazi salute slide if he hadn't chatted up the leader of afd the other day. very dark daze ahead for team usa
Yes, America has a dark side, like any nation with power. How America navigates the next 4 years will show the world the true nature of the American experiment and where that aspiration may lead. American soft power (Hollywood etc) is the most powerful in the world but that power can easily be turned off or diverted, unlike actual military power (hardware), which tends to be static over time, eroding gradually. We really only have to make room on this planet over the next 100 years for China and India - Russia, whilst currently a player because of its nukes, is on the slide and the next 100 years might not even have a Russia in it's future (the prayer of millions of people around Russia's borders). Ukraine's problem is that it's war will always be see in the context of a larger conflict (USA vs China). Leveraging that is the challenge of Z, or any leader of Ukraine.
open society could last forever, if people made the effort to preserve it. maintenance has obvi been lacking in the first quarter of the 21st century. i don't find the psuedo-spiritual big man strong man gimmicks appealing, but apparently more than a half of america's voting population does. the saved by god in order to usher in a new golden age is as idiotic as it sounds
i assume "ghey" is slang for gay. other people's sexual preferences are none of my business. as for globalist, dunno. the world would be a much better place if we all supported the principles of open society listed below.
soul? spirit?
Individual Freedom: Prioritize personal liberties and the rights of individuals.
Humanitarian Ethics: An open society is guided by ethical considerations that promote human welfare and dignity.
Rational Criticism: Open societies value critical thinking and rational discourse. They encourage questioning and debate over dogma, allowing for the evolution of ideas and policies based on evidence rather than ideology
Pluralism: A hallmark of open societies is the acceptance of diverse viewpoints and lifestyles.
Democratic Governance: Open societies advocate for democratic institutions that allow citizens to participate in decision-making processes. This includes fair elections, freedom of expression, and the rule of law
Transparency and Accountability: Governments in open societies are expected to operate transparently, with mechanisms in place to hold leaders accountable to the public.
Access to Information: Open societies emphasize the importance of access to information and knowledge as a means of empowering citizens. This means freedom of the press and the availability of diverse sources of information without censorship.
Becoming a fascist country is like going bankrupt. First, it happens slowly, then it happens abruptly.
