Day 22 Phase 3
Friday, June 3, 2022, Day 26, Phase 3 marks the 100th day of fascist Russia’s genocidal war against Ukraine. It will also the last day of this daily chronicle about the bloody mess. It’s been fun, but not that fun.
Instead of writing, I will be running.
I much prefer spherical cows, factoring agreements and thinking about El Farol Bar problem1 than browsing battlefield posts on Telegram channels. Future projects abound, including goats, chickens, livestock guardian dogs. Maybe a cheese farm near the mighty Ros river on the border of Cherkasy region?
Fred’s Institute for the Study of War, the same dream factory that in December 2021 gave us “strategic misdirection,” assuming Putin would act within the bounds of rationality, as if he were rational, continues to publish daily critical threat reports, as well as Stefan, who is in and out of the war zone. Ordinary Ukrainians follow news about the war from friends and family who live in invaded areas or who involved in the effort to liberate them.
It’s difficult to predict when Phase 3 will end2.
Z and his trusted advisors continue to ask urgently for more weapons and ammunition. They still haven’t apologized telling us Russia’s invasion was not imminent or inevitable, despite being told otherwise repeatedly3.
Martial law has been extended to August 23, 2022. This means no one will be allowed early morning runs or to hang out late at Tootsie’s.
