Ukraine’s delegation at the UNSC yesterday looked miserable. More fresh vegetables should be on the menu.
There was something wrong with the end of yesterday’s post1. So I’ll start with a revision of it today.
Ukraine needs to get its own act together, a feat that requires the country’s leaders to be honest and competent.
Our mission in 2024 was to:
unify the country,
attract new recruits, motivate them,
build excellent fall-back lines of defense,
stop telling the world we are fighting for freedom and victory on behalf of western civilization.
We failed to achieve any of these goals, so we are stuck in the Plan B rut.
And two graphs from an article appearing on September 24, 2024 in The Washington Post2.
On the war jacket, Vuhledar has been almost obliterated in southeastern Ukraine
Eliot and Philips at CSIS think experts and analysts have done a very bad job.
The level of ineptitude has indeed been remarkable and was flagged early on3. Part of the problem is that we have been stuck with the same Russophilic jornos, experts, analysts who misreported the first eight years of the war.
And, finally, the second interview with retired military intelligence operator Oleksandr Zholobetsky about Operation Avenue, aka Wagnergate, the years-long op to round up hundreds of Russian war criminals (that Z cancelled at the last minute in order to demonstrate his subjectiveness)4.
Debate over Ukraine weapons restrictions divides allies, administration. The discussion over weapons restrictions is ongoing in Washington, splitting the Biden administration and Capitol Hill and confounding America’s partners in Europe (The Washington Post, September 24, 2024)

Setting the plate clear. Subjectivizing Ukraine (September 6, 2021)
Without a balls to walls commitment from the West _read Biden administration-then even plan A is tough. The corpse talked tough in his last speech at the **feckless UN--but in the background he's withholding weapons and impeding on how the Ukraine and Israel should conduct "their wars". By the way, don't fuck with the Mossad--that pager blow up operation was brilliant on many fronts. Frankly, Biden and feel good, joyful, vibing Harris's actions and policies have me making a beeline to vote for (gulp, vomit) for the orange man.
* was in NYC this week with the UN... speaking to doormen at the hotel while waiting for a taxi... Their comments... "they should have the meeting upstate NY" the UN does nothing for peace, ever and the ambassador from quatar and the congo are staying here and all they do is shop on madison and 5th avenue" suggestion listen less to pundits and more to the man who is just trying to make a living
hi, mark. uncle joe will announce whatever today. i'm also not a big fan of the un. i don't know if team usa is withholding weapons, per se. us generals don't want to give ukraine access to too much hi-tech targetting stuff because russia has penetrated ukraine's military down to the battalion level. platoons of cia agents wearing sneakers are on the ground trying to figure out what to trust us with. meanwhile, z & co are busy campaigning for kamala in scranton
