As for Ukraine’s military mobilization shitshow, the last time I checked, fascist Russia’s genocidal campaign was in full swing. Anyone, male or female or both, between the ages of 18 and 60 who thought they could/would/should avoid participating in the nation’s defense, should think again, reevaluate options, life goals, etc. Twice, maybe three times.
Predictably, the Pork Chop from Obolon1, also known as member of parliament Mykola Tyshchenko, has inserted himself into the imbroglio.
“Many volunteers have already contacted me with complaints about the General Staff's innovations regarding the restriction of movement for men. I have no questions about the professionalism of our General Staff, but I have questions about the processing of these permits on the ground. Since the beginning of the war, I have met hundreds of volunteers, drivers and those people who have been "at the wheel" for four months and are engaged in providing the front. And volunteering is impossible without going abroad, because humanitarian and military aid is imported from abroad. Drawing up documents is currently a rather complicated procedure. Why complicate it even more. If all the volunteers now stand in line at the Military Assembly Center, then all logistics will be jammed up. I promise that my colleagues and I will work fruitfully in the near future and eliminate all contradictions,” Tyshchenko said on Facebook.
Z, who has asked Ukraine’s military leaders for a brief, says he is also alarmed. I haven’t checked what Mariana thinks.
Finally, this from Fred.
Fred & Co., who in December 2021 told us, “Putin is and remains a rational actor,2” regurgitates the stated aims of Russia’s invasion. Unfortunately, the brief fails to tell us the actual aims of the invasion, which have nothing to do with conquering and occupying areas of Ukraine.
