The last time I checked, more than 10,000 Belarusians had been arrested for participating in demonstrations against dictator Alexander Lukashenko. Hundreds have been tortured and dozens recognized as political prisoners of his regime, which is being propped up by despots in Moscow.
The demands of protesters are not complicated:
Lukashenko must leave
Political prisoners must be released
New elections must be held
